Come work at Radboud University
A world with an increasing number of questions, needs people who contribute solutions. Critical thinkers with a desire for knowledge and a hands-on approach. People who want to explore, discover, try, fail and succeed. Each with their own role and background, looking for answers in a world in need of them. Will you help us push the limits? Do you dare to think outside the box?
Radboud University contributes to a healthy, free world with equal opportunities for everyone. And for this purpose, we require people who can each make their own contribution to our study programmes and research. We work together to help students find their way and to ensure that science can progress. We do this in modern, green surroundings where the work environment is informal. And our facilities offer you the space to put your ideas to the test and push your boundaries.
At Radboud University, I have the opportunity to concentrate on important topics like diversity and inclusion.
Inti Brazil is Associate Professor of Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation Psychology and is one of the first members of the Radboud Young Academy.
“I have a lot of freedom in the work that I do at Radboud University. This is especially true in the case of the research that I conduct into the antisocial behaviour of forensic psychiatric care patients. This type of work requires customised procedures, which are not always easy to establish, but the university has always supported me in this part of my work. In addition to this, I have the opportunity to concentrate on important topics like diversity and inclusion. As a member of the Radboud Young Academy, I’d like to tailor the needs of the current generation to the academic world. The university has already focused a great deal on creating an equal male to female ratio, but gains can still be made in terms of diversity. There is plenty of work being done in this area, which is good to see. I hope that this will encourage people with a non-Dutch background to come and work here. I’ve been working at Radboud University since I was a PhD candidate and I hope that I can continue to work here for a long time to come.”
The university is not only a traditional institution, it is also an innovative one. It’s wonderful to work in a place that is helping to shape the future.
Marije Klomp is the Sustainability Programme Director at Radboud University.
"When I applied for a job here, I looked at whether Radboud University was really serious about implementing sustainable practices or whether these were just empty words. It was partly through the discussions with the Executive Board that I soon realised that the university was serious about its intentions. Since I started working here, this perception has only increased. The sustainability programme has received strong support, as evidenced by the ‘You Have a Part to Play’ campaign for sustainability. As the university has pointed out, this gives everyone the opportunity to contribute, and with the inclusion of thousands of students and academics, this is already happening in abundance. From public drinking water taps and vegan cooking courses for the restaurant and catering staff to a new course on the Sustainable Development Goals or high-level research on biodiversity; there are so many good examples. The university is not only a traditional institution, it is also an innovative institution. It’s wonderful to work in a place that is helping to shape the future."
