Harmen Schaap is an Assistant Professor of the Radboud Teachers Academy since 2014. His research currently includes tensions and learning orientations of early-career teachers, teacher agency and professional learning communities in schools. As a teacher educator, Harmen teaches about general pedagogical-didactical issues, personal and professional development and subject-oriented practice-based research. He advices professional development schools about cultivating of joint partnerships and workplace learning. He is a member of the Interuniversitair Centrum voor Onderwijsonderzoek (ICO) and publishes in scientific and professional journals.
