Dr László Sándor Chardonnens studied English Linguistics and Literature at Leiden University. He received his doctorate from the Faculty of Arts at Leiden University in 2006 for a PhD thesis on the Anglo-Saxon prognostics (revised and published as Anglo-Saxon Prognostics, 900-1100: Study and Texts (Leiden, Boston: Brill, 2007)). Sándor joined the Department of English Language and Culture at Radboud University in 2003 and teaches courses on Old and Middle English language and literature, manuscript studies, and the magical arts. He is research partner at the International Consortium for Research in the Humanities, Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. His current research focuses on ritual magic and dream divination in medieval and early modern Europe.
