On Tuesday 27 February 27 at 1pm there will be a coffee lecture in the Library of Science about Open Educational Resources (OER). These are learning materials from subject teachers that you are allowed to reuse.

Een boek dat je aanvraagt via RUQuest kun je laten afleveren bij de servicebalie van de Library of Science. Je krijgt een e-mail wanneer het daar voor je klaarligt. Je kunt het daar ook weer inleveren.
Information on open access publishing and useful OA tools
On Wednesday 17 January from 12.00 to 13.30 pm, staff from the Library of Science will be in the central hall of the Huygens building to help anyone with questions about the opt-out procedure "You share, we take care!" that will start on 1 January.
Ten new online handbooks
The Library of Science has acquired ten online handbooks in a variety of science research areas. All ten books can be found as e-books in RUQuest. The books can be downloaded in their entirety or by chapter or read online.
New acquisitions Library of Science December 2023
An overview of a few new publications we have added to our collection. Some of these items were requested by scientists or students of the Faculty of Science. Everyone can submit acquisition recommendations at the Library of Science.
Short courses on Research Data Management (RDM)
The RDM Team at Information and Library Services is hosting a number of short courses on data management in the new year. You can choose a course on how to handle personal data used in your research and a course on writing a management plan.
Book series acquired in the field of information science
The Library of Science has purchased the series "Synthesis lectures on information concept, retrieval and services" from Springer. All ten books can be found as e-books through RUQuest.
Opening hours Library of Science during holidays 2023
During Christmas and New Year, the opening hours of the Library of Science will be adjusted. From Saturday 23 December to Monday 1 January, we will be closed. On Friday 22 December, we will close at 6 p.m.
Journal Science Robotics available
The journal Science Robotics is available to staff and students of Radboud University. All volumes from 2016 to the present are available.
Avoid copyright problems with "proxy link" of an article
By sharing books and articles with students via a proxy link, you can be sure that you are not violating any copyrights. Place the proxy link before the link to the article or book.
Mandatory study literature as e-books
Whenever possible, the Library of Science purchases required study literature as e-books as well. These e-books are listed by study in a LibGuide. With each book you will find the link you can use to share the book via e.g. Brightspace.
Instructions Atlas.ti
In October, November and December information specialists from the Division Information and Library Services will once again provide Atlas.ti instructions. The instructions are offered in Dutch and English.
Book swap case Library of Science
At the entrance to the Library of Science is a bookcase that holds books to take away. You can also add your own books that you no longer need. They can then be taken away for free by interested parties.
Last chance: "Women in science" exhibit in Library of Science
The exhibition "women in science" will be shown in the Library of Science at FNWI until 31 October. The exhibition was created by Manon Lambooij and Willem Halffman.
Additional journal added to open access deal IOP
As of 10 July last, the journal Reports on Progress in Physics has been added to the open access deal with Institute of Physics (IOP).
S2O pilot AIP journals
Publisher American Institute of Physics (AIP) is launching a Subscribe to Open (S2O) pilot for two journals: Journal of Applied Physics (JAP) and Physics of Plasmas (POP). Authors will be able to publish open access at no extra cost by 2024.
104th edition CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics
The latest edition of the CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics is out. There have been some changes in structure and many sections have been updated. Some new topics have also been added. You can search or browse the handbook digitally.
"Women in science" exhibit in Library of Science
The exhibition "women in science" has opened in the Library of Science at FNWI. The results can be seen in the two display cases in the Library of Science.
