What will you learn

Algemene Cultuurwetenschappen is een studie voor mensen die nieuwsgierig zijn naar het grotere plaatje. Naar hoe je een kunstwerk bekijkt in de context van de tijd, cultuur en samenleving waarin het is gemaakt. Naar hoe opvattingen over ‘belangrijke kunst’ verschillen. Wat is kunst en wat niet? En wat zegt populaire cultuur over onze maatschappij, over verschillen tussen man en vrouw, over westers en niet-westers? Je analyseert cultuuruitingen zoals films, theaterstukken, schilderijen, literaire teksten, muziekalbums en videoclips vanuit allerlei invalshoeken.
