This course is organized by the Dosimetry Core Unit, which holds expertise in radionuclide dosimetry covering the whole translational path from fundamental research to clinical implementation. The overall goal of this course is to gain more understanding of different aspects of dosimetry and radiobiology for targeted radionuclide therapy, with focus on alpha and beta emitting radionuclides. You will learn basics of radiobiology and how to perform dosimetry, both in local and systemic therapies. The focus will be on recognizing opportunities for various applications of radiobiology and dosimetry and learning how to exploit its full potential in your research. An important application of dosimetry and radiobiology lies in gaining better understanding of the dose-effect relationships and how to translate preclinical parameters into useful information for future clinical use. Lectures will be combined with practical assignments and guided tours.
