Startdate: 1 July 2024 - 5 July 2024
ECTS credits: 2 ECTS. For more information see credits and certificate.
The week will start with an introduction to R and Rstudio interfaces. You will learn how to read and import the data, how to set op projects, and how to run descriptive analysis. The aim here is to teach you how to organize R projects, handle data, scripts and output documents. As the week continues, you will familiarize yourself with scale analysis, dimension reduction, and various regression analysis techniques. This will help you with making the choice which R packages are the most appropriate to analyze specific data. At the end of the week, you will have acquired sufficient skills to be able to program with R. This can be applied to a large extend, think about applying it for loops, functions, and parallel computing.
The final aim of the course are for you to gain a better understanding in the process of preprocessing data for final analyses to generate answers to research questions, how to clearly communicate these findings in tabular and/or visual form, and how to export these findings to the appropriate files.
