Students who take part in an honours programme for Bachelor students also take classes in developing skills, where you learn to further develop your personal and professional skills. Depending on your programme, you take one or more skills modules.
There are various modules to choose from . The skills modules below take place in the first semester and are taught by specialised lecturers. A module consists of four to six evening meetings, generally supplemented by study assignments, and is concluded with an end assignment.

Clear and convincing writing
Many students start writing without being certain of where the piece will end, or what the criteria are for a writing assignment. In this module we change that way of working.
Critical Reading: Authoritative Writing
Critical Reading: Authoritative Writing: in this course, you will not only develop a better game plan for reading, but you’ll also acquire tools to help you summarize texts.
Discussion and Debate
In this course within the bachelor's honours programme we practice several debating and interviewing skills, such as arguing effectively, listening carefully to your ‘opponent’, moderating a debate, and how to conduct an in-depth interview.
Effective essays
Effective Essays: the academic essay is an opportunity for you to really connect with your subject and develop the confidence to contribute to academic discussion in your field.
Exploring Futures
In this module you will develop the ability to think long-term and imagine multiple futures.
From idea to image
In our image culture, analysing and creating visual material is an essential skill. In this honours programme module for Bachelor students, we look at the ways in which you can deploy image to tell a story.
From science to society
In this course, you will walk through the steps towards an engaging public lecture together with two programme directors from Radboud Reflects. You will learn to think from the audience’s perspective, and you will practice a mini-lecture.
Interviewing
In this interviewing module, we will cover the different methods and interviewing formats, useful techniques, ethics and applications within your own field, among other topics.
Learning to improvise
In this module, you will get to work with the basics of improvisation in a theatre setting. You will learn to use all sorts of tools that will help you to feel more comfortable with not knowing exactly how something is going to turn out.
