Prof. H.J. van Houtum (Henk)

Prof. dr. Henk van Houtum is co-founder and coordinator of the Nijmegen Centre for Border Research, Radboud University Nijmegen. In addition, he is a part-time Professor Border Studies at the University of Eastern Finland and a Research Professor Geopolitics of Borders at the University of Bergamo. Henk van Houtum is an expert on European border policy, cross-border cooperation, migration, (inter)national and urban conflicts and identity politics, territorial competition in sports and the cartography of borders and connections.
