Prof. E.H. Kroesbergen (Evelyn)

The focus of my research is on the normal and problematic development of early mathematics and its precursors. In various studies, the role of creativity and executive functions in the development of number sense and mathematics is investigated in 3- to 12-year-old children. Special attention is given to children whose development of mathematical cognition is at risk. A second line of research focuses on creativity and giftedness, also in relation to mathematics.
