Professor Pieter Medendorp is director of the Donders Centre for Cognition. He holds a research chair in Sensorimotor Neuroscience. His research focuses on computational and neural coupling between perception and action, which he studies using modelling, psychophysical and neuroimaging techniques. He is the recipient of several prestigious national awards (Vidi, Vici) and international grants (HFSP, ERC consolidator grant). In 2012, he was one of three receivers of the Radboud Science Award. He is a board member of the Neural Control of Movement society, and is a member of The Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives. He is also a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Neurophysiology and serves as a review editor of the Journal of Neuroscience.
