How do we relate to geopolitical changes, environmental issues or societal themes, such as individualisation and a looming gap between rich and successful families and those without access to care and education, among others? For that reason, together with colleagues from the Radboudumc Health Academy, I recently attended a course on politics within organisations: how to position yourself and act as a consultant. I learned a lot developing strategies while doing team building at the same time. I would like to share what I learned at Radboudumc with my new colleagues at Radboud Academy. For instance, I am thinking of setting up a peer review group or sharing success or failure projects periodically.
And I would like to advocate for including experiential aspects in the training courses that I will be working on at Radboud Academy. The learning experience becomes richer when you assign it a particular smell, colour, song or taste. There is still a whole world for us to discover!

I see it as a duty, a certain responsibility, to stay up to date. If you look at all that is asked of a professional in this day and age, it is quite a lot! In that respect, it is not just about keeping up with professional knowledge and expertise, but also with broader skills and insights. If you zoom out slightly and see what's going on in our era, it's huge!
