What will you learn?

This course focuses on developing and applying knowledge about the four core elements of creativity - called the RISE Framework - in the context of teaching gifted students. You will learn about the impact of these elements on creativity in the classroom and develop the ability to recognise, assess and develop each of these elements in your students. This course will provide you with a foundation to support teaching for and with creativity.

This course is part of the RITHA Practitioner training. You will therefore follow this course together with participants from this training. 

Upon completion of this course:

  • You will be able to describe the elements of the RISE Framework on creative teaching;
  • You will be able to explain the role and characteristics of elements of the RISE Framework in the development of creativity of individual students;
  • Be able to apply knowledge of the RISE Framework to the assessment and development of creativity of individual students;
  • Receive a certificate of attendance.

Course structure

The course load consists of 56 hours, including 26 hours of self-study, 10 hours of assignments, 12 hours of online learning and 8 hours of final product.

Lecturer prof. dr. David Cropley is an international author, researcher and consultant on creativity and innovation. As professor of Engineer Innovation, he is affiliated to University of South Australia.

The fee of this course is €1150 exempt from VAT. Alumni of Radboud University and RadboudCSW receive a 10% discount, as do employees of Radboud University and RadboudUMC. Prices are subject to change.
