This week, equipment has been stolen from lecture halls four times. To prevent more theft, extra surveillance has been deployed and rooms will be closed more often. If you are see something suspicious, there are several things you can do.

In memoriam Jan Giesbers (Nijmegen, 1932 – Nijmegen, 2023)
Jan Giesbers, Rector Magnificus of the then Catholic University of Nijmegen from 1982 to 1987, passed away on 14 November. He will be remembered as an administrator who steered the University through the 1980s in an amiable yet decisive manner.
Dorine Gebbink appointed as Secretary of the University
Dorine Gebbink will start on 1 December as Secretary of the University and the Supervisory Board. She will also be leading the Administration Office. After a period as deputy, she will permanently take over from Marijke Pe on 1 December.

Slight decrease in total student intake and an increase in Master’s students
This academic year (2023-2024), Radboud University has 24,042 students (as of 1 October), which is a modest decrease compared to last year. Read more about the numbers concerning the student population and intake, as well as internationalisation.

Given the close relationship between environment and health, sustainability deserves much more attention in Nijmegen's medical curriculum. That is the belief of the students behind the Green Health Week at the Medicine Faculty.
How a new healing art object appeared in the campus woods
1 November: Ten students and employees are gathered in the woods near the University Chaplaincy. Three circles have been cut out in the woods, ready to undergo a metamorphosis, with the planting of a special selection of bulbs and ferns.
In search of new dreams for a sustainable campus
‘Canned dreams for the future’. Under this heading, back in 2008, Radboud University students and staff filled 12 cans with their dreams. The cans were intended as a gift for the University's centenary in 2023. This year, we are opening the cans.

New mural about the history of Radboud University
Nijmegen has a new mural! On the corner of Snijderstraat and Spinthuisstraat, there is a new Waalpainting depicting the history of Radboud University. The mural was painted by artists Sacha di Maio and Eduardo Pérez.
