Using multisensory psychophysics, neuroimaging (fMRI, MEG, EEG) and brain stimulation (TMS), we investigate how our brain voluntarily controls conscious perception and how our brain is perceptually 'primed'.
I hold positions at Radboud University Nijmegen in the department of BioPhysics (Chair: Innovation and Entrepeneurship in Life Sciences) and at the University of Leuven in the Laboratory of Experimental Psychology (Chair: Experimental Psychology).
I am also Principal Researcher at the Philips Research Laboratories where we are currently running experiments capitalizing on fundamental neuroscience insights for inventions in health, behaviour and well-being.
