Utz Weitzel is Professor of Experimental and Behavioral Finance at Radboud University and Professor of Finance and Financial Markets at Utrecht University. His current research areas are behavioral finance, experimental finance, corporate finance and experimental economics; published in, amongst others, Journal of Finance, Economic Journal, Journal of Risk and Uncertainty, Games and Economic Behavior, Journal of Management, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Conflict Resolution, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Journal of Economic Psychology, Journal of Theoretical Biology, and Entrepreneurship, Theory and Practice. After his school education in Namibia, he studied Economics and Business in Germany and in Great Britain, followed by a PhD at the Humboldt-University Berlin, and a post-doc year at the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management (USA). Next to his affiliations at Radboud University and Utrecht University, he is director of the Society for Experimental Finance, Board member of the Global eXperiments Platform Foundation, and of the Behavioral Finance Online Research initiative. Previously he was a research affiliate at the Max Planck Institute of Economics in Jena (Germany).
