Double Bachelor's Computing Science & Mathematics

A special challenge at Radboud University is a double Bachelor's programme. Follow Computing Science & Mathematics in a combined programme, partially thought in Dutch. A double Bachelor's is intended as a challenge for motivated students who can complete the programme in 3 years without significant study delay. With an extra effort of 25% you obtain two Bachelor's degrees.

About this study curriculum

Since the Mathematics programme has Dutch as the main language, the double Bachelor's programme Computing Science & Mathematics is partially taught in Dutch.

The programme is composed out of existing components of the standard Computing Science and Mathematics. The diplomas received after the double Bachelor's are equal to the standard diplomas. These diplomas grant access to Master’s programmes for Mathematics and Computing Science in the Netherlands.

The courses are structured in such a way that, should the student follow them in order, no problems will occur with prerequisite knowledge. The reduction in study load in the combined programme comes from:

  • Minors filled with courses from the other programme’s curricula.
  • Math courses from the Computing Science curriculum are replaced with courses from the Math curriculum.
  • Eliminate overlapping courses.
  • One Bachelor’s thesis on a subject that encompasses both disciplines.

In the course guide you can find the complete study programme of the double bachelor Computing Science & Mathematics (in Dutch only).
