Group B
This course takes place from 8 October until 3 December 2024. There is no class in the week of 21 October because of the Autumn Break.
Class day and time: Tuesdays from 7.45 - 9.15 pm
Location: You can choose whether to join online or on location at the Nijmegen campus.
Number of participants: min. 6 - max. 14
Approach and content
Spanish is spoken as much as possible during classes, with Dutch and English as the supporting languages. This means that in most cases, you can take this course if you do not speak Dutch. Please contact our Service Centre for more information about the course.
You should count on about three to four hours of individual study per week.
What will the classes cover?
Skills
- Describing daily life
- Structuring a story
- You will learn to describe your family (who are they and what do they look like, what do they do)
- You learn about food and drink, and how to order them in a restaurant
- Asking where something is located
- Finding your way by public transport
- You will learn about Spanish culture
Naturally, this will teach you the Spanish alphabet and numbers too!
Grammar
We cover a range of topics in this Spanish A1 course, including:
- The form and using the second past tense: El pretérito perfecto. Regular and irregular verbs.
- Using ya and todavía.
- The reflexive verb, antes/después de
- Verbs with irregular first person forms
- Using possessive pronouns
- Conjunctions with the articles: al, del
- Using the preposition en + mode of transport
