About IMAPP

The research Institute for Mathematics, Astrophysics and Particle Physics (IMAPP) is part of the Faculty of Science. At IMAPP, we engage in essential studies that explore the fundamentals of mathematics, astrophysics, and high energy physics, with a particular emphasis on interdisciplinary areas of research.

Mission

  • Conduct world-class research within the disciplines of Mathematics, Astrophysics, and High Energy Physics by making use of the synergy on the interfaces of those three disciplines.
  • Provide excellent education, which is coupled to research conducted at IMAPP, and hereby deliver the next generation of scientists who are highly skilled and well-prepared for careers in- and outside academia.
  • Foster and expand our national and international collaborations in- and outside academia in order to solve research questions in the areas of mathematics, particle physics and astronomy.

Board

The board of IMAPP is supported by management assistant Gertie Verberk-van Haren.

Local confidential advisors

The local confidential advisors at IMAPP are available for all PhD candidates, postdocs, and staff members. If you require this kind of support, do not hesitate to contact one of the advisors.
